    1.What is The EXIT Program?
    The EXIT Program, (Ex-offenders In Transition) is a 90 day transitional housing program that is exclusively limited to those convicted of crimes within the State of Ohio. We specialize in working with individuals convicted of sexual offenses, and do consider all types of offenders in our housing program. The EXIT Program delivers effective supervision and critical resources, which help ex-offenders meet the strict guidelines required by Ohio law and helps reduce the threat of future victimization.

    2. Who oversees The EXIT Program?
    The EXIT Program is operated and managed by NISRE, Inc. (Nothing Into Something Real Estate). NISRE, Inc. is a faith based, nonprofit organization that has been successfully serving the community with the reintegration of offenders from prison since 2002. NISRE, Inc. is based out of Columbus, Ohio. It is governed by an 8 member Board of Directors, and overseen by Michele Johnson, Founder & Executive Director.

    3. Do you serve women and men?
    The EXIT Program currently serves adult men only.

    4. What kind of success rate do you have?
    Since our inception, we’ve placed over 250 ex-offenders in transitional housing settings, expanded our capacity from 1 to 11 properties, and helped 4 ex-offenders purchase a home of their own.

    5. How do you handle media attention?
    The EXIT Program purposes to promote safe neighborhoods by increasing public safety and ensuring offender accountability. We exist to manage the risk and threat of future victimization that already exists in the community without proper management. When media gets involved, we see it as our opportunity to advise them  how The EXIT Program is a community  asset, not a liability. Our primary motivation is to promote safe neighborhoods.
